Architectural lighting is to beautify the city by illuminating the structures with historical and cultural value, works of art and engineering, in other words, the urban elements that create the character of the city. Illuminated urban values make the appearance of the city they are in more meaningful and effective. Illumination of urban values not only makes the illuminated subject visible, but also reveals its architectural features, formation and functions.

Istanbul Energy carries out the lighting works of Istanbul’s historical and cultural architectural monuments. Within the scope of the contract signed with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality City Lighting and Energy Directorate, maintenance and repair activities of all architectural works made in previous years are carried out in order to prevent the deterioration of architectural aesthetics in the city silhouette. In addition, renovation activities continue in architectural structures. Recent lighting design and applications of Kılıç Ali Paşa Mosque, Nuru Osmaniye Mosque, Büyükçekmece and Küçükçekmece Historical Mimar Sinan Bridges, Selimiye Mosque, Mihrimah Sultan Mosque and Beyazıt Fire Tower were presented to Istanbul residents.
